Disclaimer: I'm rather behind on my reviews, so they will be super brief until I get caught up again.

This novella follows a fictional account in which a boat full of immigrants drown in the English Channel and the French radio operator who is questioned about what she did, or didn't, do to avert the crisis.

The book asks questions of who is responsible for the immigrants' safety and what happens when they become dehumanised, headlines and statistics, endless numbers on a computer screen.

Though it raised some interesting moral questions, and didn't attempt to answer them all, the book lacked a certain something, and failed to engage me.
