Disclaimer: I'm rather behind on my reviews, so they will be super brief until I get caught up again.

Midnight Timetable is ostensibly a collection of ghost stories from Korean author Bora Chung. At first, these seem random and fragmentary. But as the book progresses, the disparate elements link up (in quite a similar way to Bangkok Wakes To Rain, though the links are less chronological and some have an almost dreamlike quality, where motifs and themes resurface in different settings).

This book was one of the highlights of my reading year (so far anyway). The book is incredibly skillfully written, building something that feels like it is on the edge of coherent, again like a dream which upon waking you know makes sense, but you can't quite explain why.
